Seven

Seven - Adrienne Wilder 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars.

Whew, what a ride! An incredible story. It left me wondering if Ms. Wilder has a degree in quantum mechanics or particle theory. It felt a bit long, but I think that's because I was on the edge of my seat most of the time and almost want it to end for some relief! Her love scenes sometimes felt a bit clinical and overly long. I wanted them to somehow have more punch. But the story itself is brilliant and original in the genre. I cried my eyes out for some of her characters. Stone was so utterly evil; I wanted to cradle Four and make him better; and hooray for Seven and Chase! I read her Nephilim Prophecy (The God Code) last month and it, too, was astonishingly good. What a mind. What a story.

Highly recommended.
